Dr. Remis graduated from Boston University School of Medicine in 1974 and completed his medical residency at the Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia PA in 1978. Post residency, Dr. Remis treated patients and instructed residents for over 10 years in the Glaucoma Consultation Service at The Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. Since 1980, Dr. Remis has been practicing ophthalmology full-time in Marblehead MA. He specializes in treating cataracts and glaucoma and brings extensive experience treating eye disorders, such as dry eye syndrome and diabetic retinopathy to the North Shore. Dr. Remis performs surgery at the North Shore Medical Center in Salem MA.
Terri Lombard – Office Manager
Terri joined Dr. Remis' office staff in 2009. She is responsible for ensuring office compliance and overseeing day to day operations. Terri also handles patient medical coding and billing along with patient insurance related billing questions. Terri handles the practice's accounts receivable and payables, bringing with her over a decade of medical office experience.
Peggy Belanger – Office Administrator/Surgical Scheduler
Peggy joined Dr. Remis' office staff in 2007. She is responsible for all surgical scheduling for Dr. Remis and maintains Dr. Remis' professional schedule and medical credentialing. Peggy also assists Dr. Remis with visual field testing, retinal photography and prescriptions renewals and questions. Additionally, Peggy handles payroll, IT support and provides transcription services for the office. Peggy brings over 35 years of medical office experience with her.
Deanna Pettipas – Ophthalmic Technician
Deanna joined Dr. Remis' office in 2015 as an ophthalmic technician. Deanna assists Dr. Remis with patient exams by preparing them for the exam and determining lens prescriptions. Deanna is also responsible for recording finds in our patients electronic medical records. Deanna also performs a variety of testing including visual field testing and retinal photography. Deanna assists patients with prescription renewals and questions. Deanna brings several years of experience working in an ophthalmologists' office.
